The paper presents the characteristics and indicates the possibilities of versatile use of belt conveyors in the technological lines of meat processing plants. The most frequently used design solutions for individual working elements of this group of conveyors are discussed. Important elements concerning the safe and proper operation of belt conveyors used in internal transport of a meat processing plant were indicated.
