Fresh and used oils were studied for contents of Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sn and Zn as well as for contents of anti-wear additives. The Fe, Mn, Sn and Ti contents increased in both oils, the Cu, Mn, Pb increased only in the fresh one, and the Cr and Cd contents increased only in the used oil.
