Wheat, barley, cocksfoot as well as rape and mustard were grown sep. in pots with fawn soil (dry soil mass 3 kg), each using one type of S fertilizer (doses 0.075 g/pot for cereals and grass or 0.150 g/pot for other plants) or without any fertilizer to det. their effectiveness on seeds and straw yields. The use of (NH4)2SO4, K2SO4, Na2SO4, Ca2SO4·2H2O, H2SO4, Na2S2O3·5H2O as well as elementary S resulted in a significant increase of yields of tested plants. Na2S2O3 was the least effective fertilizer at cultivation of wheat, rape and cocksfoot and K2SO4 at barley growing.
